The lovely Victoria booked us over a year in advance and I knew as soon as I met Victoria the that I would enjoy creating her florals. Victoria had a strong vision already for the look of the florals. She knew she wanted to include some dried blooms for texture and loved the look of daisies, as well as proteas for her South African heritage and pampas grass. She had quite a few images of different florals and I enjoyed the process of taking into account her visual inspiration along with all the blooms she loved and making it personalised to her and Hamish. I really loved how everything came together.
We went for really textured and earthy hues for the bouquets and carried this through into the ceremony and reception. Being Autumn I was really drawn to the bronze and dirty yellows we were starting to see come though so I added very subtle touches in the reception which created the most beautiful tone to the florals. On the tables the florals were made into stone and natural ceramics, they were paired with our soft amber glass candle holders. I particularly loved creating the custom feature above the bridal table. We used a beautiful teatree branch as the base and went for an organic and textured look for the florals, making sure to includes Victorias fav, wild daisies. It was quite a different look to one of our favourite spaces to work in, Kauri Bay Boomrock, and I love that. Everything came together beautifully. xx
